Love Holds the Key

 I made this mixed media painting for my Grandma to hand in her sewing room for Christmas.  I painted the backround and stretched decorative tights around the canvas.  I got the key at an antique store and the girl is cut out from a vintage magazine from the 1920's.  I had fun being creative with this piece.

Elvis Drawing

I did this drawing for my Grandpa for a Christmas gift.  He really likes Elvis and liked his gift:)

Art Group

I love art group and getting inspired by all the other woman there!  This is a class that was taught by Angela Meijer and it was called 'Better Than a Fortune Cookie', we did transfer photos on canvas and everyone picked out two photos with encouraging scriptures on the back.  It was fun being creative, painting with acrylics, and putting mixed media such as flowers and grunge board on. This was done at Fuss It Up Designs! in Des Moines, IA.

Mixed Media Girls

Here are the my mixed media paintings that I have been working on this past week to get ready for Gallery Night.  I had a lot of fun learning new mixed media techniques with my neighbor Angela Meijer.  I had a drawing of the girl that I wanted to do something with and I transfered the picture on multiple canvases, then painted and added fun things to it.  It has really helped me to express myself  in a fun way!
